We want to remodel our kitchen! We have an L-shape counter we wish to straighten out and a look through we want to remove, in additon to getting rid of the 80's small over and installing a gasstop range. Would like to use existing cabinets and re-face. Floor is good. Lighting needed badly. As eco friendly as possible. alternatives to granite countertops.

Hi - wondering about a kitchen remodel - very preliminary. House was built in late 70's, about 2500 sq ft - standard kitchen with eating area. would like to have new floor, new cabinets, new counters, new stove. Perhaps minor structural modification - push out one interior wall. Could you give me some idea of a ballpark cost - none of this would be high-end style/materials, but decent quality. thank you
